Michelle graduated from Purdue University in 1993 with a BA degree in Spanish. In 2008 Michelle graduated from the RN program at Maricopa Community College. Initially, she was a bedside nurse in the Perinatal High-Risk unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Arizona. Michelle then transferred to an outpatient primary care clinic with the same hospital system, where she was the clinical care coordinator and oversaw clinical quality for the clinic. She returned to school in 2013 to continue her education and graduated from the University of Arizona with a Master of Science in Nursing Clinical Systems Leadership. During this same time, she was a Quality Management Nurse with Arizona Care Network and earned her CPHQ. Upon completing her MSN, Michelle moved to North Carolina to take a management role with Liberty Healthcare Corporation and oversaw the clinical quality and appeals department. Michelle began her journey as an educator upon moving to Florida in 2022. She loves educating her students, helping them become proficient with various skills, and watching them grow through the program. Michelle believes nursing is a calling, providing nursing care is an honor, and teaching future nurses is a blessing.
