My healthcare journey began as an Emergency Medical Technician, followed by service as a corpsman in the Navy. Afterward, I became a Paramedic and started teaching EMTs. I hold a BSN from Jacksonville State University, an MSN from Wilkes University, and a Doctoral degree from Grand Canyon University. My nursing experience includes roles in a Level II Trauma Center, post-anesthesia care, behavioral health, interventional pain medicine, and healthcare informatics. I have a strong passion for nursing education and simulation, having previously served as the Simulation Director for a local nursing program and Clinical Director for Online Graduate Nursing.
