OVERVIEW

This in-person conference is tailored for nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in simulation education, operations, and technical specialists, standardized patient program coordinators, administrators, researchers, and innovators from various clinical and academic healthcare professions. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a series of hands-on workshops designed to enhance their skills in simulation techniques. Key topics to be covered include operational and budgetary considerations considerations for simulation immersion technologies, using immersion rooms, tabletop holograms, and virtual reality for skills training and evaluation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Articulate at least three types of simulation immersion technologies that can be incorporated into healthcare education.
Contrast the benefits and limitations of each type of simulation immersion technology.
Plan for how simulation immersion technology could be applied to one’s own program.
