The Arizona College of Nursing – Tampa Simulation Center is a safe and supportive environment where nursing students can apply their clinical judgment and hands-on skills learned in the classroom and skills lab. Our state-of-the-art, on-campus facility features rooms designed to resemble real-world healthcare setttings, including acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, mental health units, and home care environments. Equipped with high-fidelity manikins, a code cart, a defibrillator, and a fully stocked medication and central supply room, the simulation center offers an immersive, realistic experience to prepare students for clinical practice.
The Arizona College of Nursing – Tampa Simulation Center features four specialized rooms, including dedicated maternity and pediatric areas. Each simulation is video recorded, allowing for immediate review during debriefing to enhance learning and reflection. Students are encouraged to interact with monitors, pumps, and patients as they would in real-life clinical settings. They can also practice communication skills by calling for additional help, contacting providers, or requesting laboratory services – mirroring real-world healthcare environments.
